- THE SCENARIO:
- Once upon a time there was a Hamster. His name was Harvey. He shared
- his Rotastak(TM) with a cute stuffed toy named Dr. Doggie Phd(Civil
- Engineering). They were very happy and at one with the Cosmos until one day
- Harvey discovered that Dr. Doggie had been stealing his sunflower seeds!
- "Why have you been stealing my Sunflower seeds?", demanded Harvey. "To build
- a life size model of the big, shiny RAC building in Birmingham", Doggie
- replied. Harvey was outraged, "There is only one way to teach you a lesson",
- he squeaked. "I challenge you to a duel! Pick your weapon.", and with that
- he slapped Doggie across the muzzle with a boxing glove. "I choose
- Silly-Putty.", said Doggie. "Right, silly putty at High-noon it is." raged
- Harvey.
- And so at high noon they met...

- THE GAME:
- The game is very simple, firstly there are several options to choose
- from which will be detailed later. The game is started by pressing PLAY on
- the options screen. This is a two player game, the players (controlling
- Doggie and Harvey) take it in turns to fire lumps of silly-putty at each
- other by selecting the Elevation and Power of each shot using the mouse.
- The Power is measured from 10 to 200 and the Elevation is measured in
- degrees. Zero elevation is horizontal with the direction depending on which
- way your character is facing and 90 degrees being straight up. Only direct
- hits count, not glancing blows and it is important to remember that your own
- putty can hit you.
-
- THE OPTIONS:
- Most of the options are self explanatory.
- Music: This toggles the intro music on and off.
- Sound FX: This toggles the game Sound FX on and off.
- Maximum Wind: Sets the maximum speed that the wind can blow at 100,
- it's highest setting, it is rather strong and makes the game a lot more
- difficult.
- No of Blowers: Blowers are localized changes in wind speed and can blow
- left or right. These can cause some rather unpredictable effects. They
- tend to make the game harder but more fun. You can have up to 16.
- No of Gravtators: These are similar to Blowers but push up or down
- Winning Score: The first to get this number of points wins.
- Bouncy Boundaries: Setting this to on causes the edges of the screen to
- act like walls so that the putty bounces off. This makes the game easier
- and is rather fun with a liberal sprinkling of Blowers and Gravitators.
- Quit: Quits.
- Help: You're reading it!
- Play: Starts the game.
